SPHS' purpose is to:

Acquire and preserve records, oral histories, objects and photographs relevant to Sun Peaks (and surrounding area) which contribute to the understanding of its history and culture for future generations.

Provide access (physical and/or virtual) to these holdings for research, education or entertainment purposes.

Disseminate information about the history of Sun Peaks through exhibits, educational programs and publications.

Encourage future preservation and contributions through promotion and other community initiatives.

Acknowledge the unceded lands of Secwepemc People and their contribution to the history and culture of the Sun Peaks alpine region, known as Skwelkwek'welt.
